Of the speakers?

I noticed a little on mission 2 during a few heavy gun battles, I'm wondering if my speakers are blown, if its a bug or that the DS speakers are unlike the SP's...

Anyone else?

Or is it common SNKP coding error?

I think it's common for most, if not all GBA games to have some of this "popping", hissing or static sounds from the DS speakers. I've noticed it on other GBA games I've played besides Metal Slug also. I read somewhere about other people complaining about the sound problems with GBA carts on the DS, so I wouldn't worry about your speakers being blown. Even though I hear "popping with GBA games, I've never heard any of it while playing DS games.

Does the DS also have this problem while using headphones, or is it only with the extrenal speakers?

Pop goes the weasel

I get a pop sometimes when i turn the DS off. I notice it most when i play Mario and exit in the middle of a game.
I wonder what it is myself but it does sound like a normal occurance.

So how (bad) is the popping on other GBA games? A huge plus point of the DS is that one would be able to play the GBA games on it. I probably get either the DS or PSP. But I lean more towards the DS since I don't have a GBA and there is a huge lineup of titles for it...
