I was thinking about this the other day.
especially after seeing the amazing 5 games that launched with the system.

It would be hella cool to have jet set radio on the DS,
just the whole DC game music and all, and you would use the touch pad to
do your graffiti. the create your own graffiti mode would be fun too.

next i would totally love the original tomb raider, the tomb raider whore that i am.
the ngage shit can go to hell.
I mean a totally straight port of the first and best tomb raider.
on the touch screen you could probably change items real quickly
instead of having to pause the game to switch out items and all.

super monkey ball.
i mean just the thought of touch screen would liken itself to something like
marble madness, and smb is of course to me the latest real incarnation of marble madness.
you can use the pad in metriod when you do the morph ball for heaven's sake.

and my last would be zanny golf.
i don't know why.
i just fell it's the greatest and probably only mini golf game out there and would
be cool on any system with analog controlls I guess.
hunt it down on pc or the genny if you have the time.
;P

i thought up an rpg maker, or any kind of game maker, where you basically make the games, using the touch screen for ease and stuff, and then it saves to a gba cart you can play in any gba

that would be so awesome

How about a nice FPS? The touch screen works amazingly well with Metroid Prime Hunters, so how about a port of Goldeneye or Perfect Dark? I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Even a new FPS would be nice, but it has to have wirless multiplayer.

Some kind of fighter... 2D or 3D - not sure how well either would look, or fair with the DS' controls, but I'd at least like to see an attempt be made.

A Goldeneye or Perfect Dark port would be welcome, and speaking of ports, I'd love to see one for Chrono Trigger, seeing how that game has yet to have a portable version of it made.

It would also be nice to see Square-Enix take a shot at creating a brand-new Final Fantasy, like they tried to do for the N64 - I know it was canned because it was deemed unsatisfactory by Square, but it couldn't have been any more worse or boring than FFVIII-X have been.

Jet Set Radio and an RPG Maker are both excellent ideas too, I'd glady add either of those games to my gaming library.

Well, I think a Super Smash Brothers game should be on the DS. Or atleast the GBA. I don't know what features the DS one would have, but wireless multiplayer would be awesome.

ds needs quake 3 :smirk:

i want to see a new sonic game.

with just sonic.

no bullshit.

2d or 3d is fine, as long as it does not suck.

what about a dual layered shooter like layer selection, or that one on virtual boy, except, you would switch between screens and it would be better than this half assed attempt at fleshing it out.

I'm pretty excited about the wireless possibilites too,
I don't know if wario ware is wireless multiplayer, but games like
that and mario party would be a great step for nintendo..
since they passed on online stuff for the gc..

If the DS got a brand new 2d sonic I'd be all over it.

I'd like to see a nice length screen shooter like Ikaruga put on DS. I'd also like to see some good FPS games, as I know it is quite capable of giving great controls for them (I actually prefer it to dual-analog stuff). I'd also like a nice rail shooter like Star Fox 64 or something. One game that I really want though, on any system I don't give a fuck, is Nights. I think they could at least manage a port of the Saturn version to DS. At the least. I would make due, Nights on the go would be enough to make me cream.

I know that a Zelda: Four Swords styled game is in the works. As well as a Sonic title which Yuji Naka said would be 3D, and a new Castlevania title that was said to be "in the style of Aria of Sorrow."

Castlevania would be very nice. The best thing they could make would be a Capcom Generation, like the import Satunr versions, but even put out more games and port more arcade titles. I doubt it, but hey, it's an idea.

I would like nothing more than a Ghosts N' Goblins release on DS.

Some sort of mario paint! With a music program would be a lot of fun.

Also i think RPGs might be able to use the pad for mapping dungeons, unlocking doors, or fighting.

I know Rare retains the PErfect Dark rights, but I've heard rumor Nintendo owns the Golden Eye rights. If so, they'd be stupid not to release it on DS.

I'm not sure how the copyright thing works out here, but EA owns the Bond rights now. It would be cool if they could release a port with minor tweaks for the DS to get past that, but I don't think it would happen.

EA is releasing "goldeneye" for the DS. But its a safe bet its the craptacular Rogue Agent game.

I want to see some original games come out. Sure the n64 zeldas would be nice But Nintendo released this system for innovation...and the big N didnt really set a great example with Mario 64.

If Nintendo owns the game, they'd only need to liscence the Bond name for a DS release. EA is a bunch of money whores; and I can't see them getting bent out of shape over Nintendo propping up "their" Bond liscense's reputation.

geez, how could I forget about NiGHTS?
I don't know how they'd work the two screens but I doubt I would even care
:)
