Well I stopped by the WalMart in Kingstown today (near Alexandria, VA) and they had marked down a bunch of games across all platforms bigtime. XBox, PS2, GC, and GBA games were being blown out at prices like $5, $7, $8, $10, and $15. Now there may not have been a lot of stellar games, but there were still some pretty good ones considering the prices. Not sure if this is storewide or not, but you might want to check your local WalMart to see if they are doing this as well (maybe it isn't nationwide but based on the printed price tags, I think it was).

I only picked up Baldurs Gate 2 for XBox @ $15. Many games were an even $10 or $10.25. Quite a few others were in the $5-$10 range. Plenty of GBA stuff too.

Hmm.
I didn't see any notably low prices at my Wal-mart this morning.
I did notice that they have way too many games in stock at the moment...some cabinets are stocked completely full of games from all systems (stacked with the case spine facing out) with no price tags to be seen.

Its possible that your store hadn't gotten to repricing them yet. The walmart.com website does have some deals, nothing huge but some XB/PS2/GC games @ 2/20 or 2/30. But the store I hit had a bunch of games at $5-$10. The question is, would games in ANY store scan at the blowout prices, or only this store or a store that had implemented the reprice? No idea, but there were some pretty cheap games across all platforms.

Many times Walmart deals are per store. And they typically won't price match other Walmart stores or even their own website. I have tried this and they claim that "they don't compete with themselves".

Bah..fuck them anyways.
