I haven't seen a guide anywhere, and I just figured this out this morning.
Anyway, this will explain how to set up your new pstwo so you can use it with the swap disc. No damaged disc trays or swapping system tops with this puppy.
You need: small phillips head screwdriver, some duct tape (and something to cut it with), your fingernails.
First take off the system warranty void if peeled sticker on the back. (oh yeah, any time you open a system from sony you void the warranty blah blah....)
Flip the system over and remove the six square covers that cover the screws. You should be able to take them out just using your finger nails. No brute for needed. As shown:
Remove the screws and flip the system back over. Carefully pry the top half of the system off starting from the back. Slowly move your way forward. You will feel little resistance from some small tabs. Just slowly lift up and nothing will should break. After you get the top off, cut some small duct tape squares and cover the 2 (yes there are two) disc-closed-sensor-thingie-switches. Grey one in the back left, black one front right behind reset button. Just need enough tape to keep the buttons down.
As Shown:
Close everything up. Load up swap disc, then insert game, hit start and you should be good to go. This enitre process should only take about ten minutes.
Well off to play Espgaluda.
