I've seen some games that I want to buy pretty soon, some are good deals and some are cross-platform, but I only have a Cube so thats why I'm asking....what do you think, yay or nay on these games?

-Legends of Wrestling $10 new at Best Buy
-Animal Crossing $20 new
-Ghost Recon $15 used
-Ghost Recon 2 $35 used

...I've never played either Ghost Recon game, but it looks really fun. I don't know if I should start with the first one, or go right to the second.

...and I'm looking around for that Alien Hominid but I haven't seen it yet...should I bother looking for it at the major media outlets, or should I concentrate at EBgames?

I only have Animal Crossing on your list..... that game is so freaking addictive! I thought it would be a kiddie type game but I bought it anyway since I know my wife will probably like it.

Of course, she got addicted to it and then I created a town and before you know it, we were traveling back and forth and I was fishing and collecting crap. LOL. In short, AC is awesome, and it did get repetitive after awhile.

The only "problem" with Animal Crossing is you want to be there all the time to make sure everything goes well. You want to take care of the weeds and make sure no bugs get into your house. Also, you hate finding out when people leave or come in to town. When you get there and if something did NOT happen, you're bored. And yet, a small little thing can send you into a frenzy of addiction.

Great game... and not, at the same time. So much to do, but at the same time so little. Hard to explain. I actually felt bad when I destroyed that town from my mem card. Like I wiped out an entire land. Well, sort of, I did.

good mini-review, I was like OMFG must do everything in the first month of owning this game, then I didn't play for 2 weeks, and everyones like where've you been etc etc, I think I prefer playing it for 30mins a day without everyone knowing me. just casual like.. or something. I get the same enjoyment, sure I don't see everything, but meh, I'm going to keep it because of the 20 nes games or something included, its like an emulator disc with a nice frontend.

Ghost Recon games are good, but not on console. Plus unlike the XBox versions they don't have online play. I can confidently say you should steer clear of these on GC.

I wasn't a fan of animal crossing at all, but as you can see some people can really get into that stuff. Depends on if you like that sort of game or not.

I basically agree with this. Don't bother with Ghost Recon unless you're okay with owning a version that you can't play online. Animal Crossing gets really boring after you realize in a week you've done everything worth doing...

Although when I was looking at Animal Crossing at the store, I knew it had an OK reputation, but it looks so damn 'kiddy'....however it sounds very interesting and its only $20 so I think I'll try that.

Thanks
