Sequels you never expected to see

After work today, I swung by the public library and half expected it to stay open late so that I may watch Mel Brooks's Blazing Saddles and The Producers on DVD, but I got my dates wrong, the extended hours is a good 2 weeks away from today, so after finishing off my email in short order, I swung by the local used media store to scope out its selection. There was a Best of Benny Hill that I really wanted to pick up last time I was in the store a month and a half ago, but it wasn't there when I returned to the used VHS section today. As I was about to turn away disappointed from the used VHS bin, and felt the blood rush back to my head as I stood up, something caught my eye: The Skulls III. My god! They made not just 1, but 2 straight-to-video sequels for this film? Granted, I've never actually seen the film itself and am going purely on hearsay from my punk roommates that this film sucked. It seemed to be yet another one of those horror-of-the-month movie attempting to ride on the coattail of Scream's success back then. I, too, am a punk, so I am going on pure conjecture that their appreciation of film does not stray too far from that of my own.

Anyone else can contribute their astonishment at a "I can't believe they made that [sequel]!" in this thread.

A sequel I never expected to see?
Nightcaster 2 for the Xbox.

That just came out of nowhere, considering how dismal the first game was. :annoyed:

Ok I got another one....so I'm perusing Amazon for a price on the new special edition of Universal Soldier, and I find this thing: Universal Soldier 3: Unfinished Business

..it appears that this thing came out before Unisol 2 did.. :spock:

Universal Soldier is a smash blockbuster action classic....2 was horrible...I don't have the guts to watch 3.

Kickboxer 2-3
Bloodsport 2-4 {The last one called "Dark Kumite"}
Cruel Intentions 2
Cruel Intentions 3
Iron Eagle 2-5

equally atrocious is all those movies I keep seeing on rental shelves with actor Mario Lopez {Slater on Saved by the Bell} with him as a gangster, a soldier etc. Yeah, I'm sure he'd be a bad ass cholo. The covers alone aren't enough for me to rent it, though some sick part of me wants to to laugh my ass off.

Home Alone 3.

And I hear a part 4 is on the way -- or already made? Oh God...

On video game end, Tak 2 and Ty 2 caught me off guard as I don't think they sold all too well. *shrugs* I still want to play those games.

I saw American Psycho 2 at Family Video one day, it had that chick from That 70s Show. She also does the voice of Meg on Family Guy. It looked really stupid.

Advance Guardian Heroes
Phantasy Star Episode I & II Plus (figured after Episode III that was it for PS in the US till PS5)

I was suprised when I heard taht there was going to be a sequel to The Crow considering what happened I thought it was in bad taste to go ahead and make a sequel.

True, Square has milked the series. But I am confident that FFXII will be great. It's under new direction now. The guy who directed (produced?) Vagrant Story and FF Tactics is behind this one.

Of course, I enjoyed all of the PS1 era games and FFX is one of my favorite games of all time. But Square obviously knows that the series will make them a ton of money. FFX-2 is proof of that. Such a stupid game...
