After work today, I swung by the public library and half expected it to stay open late so that I may watch Mel Brooks's Blazing Saddles and The Producers on DVD, but I got my dates wrong, the extended hours is a good 2 weeks away from today, so after finishing off my email in short order, I swung by the local used media store to scope out its selection. There was a Best of Benny Hill that I really wanted to pick up last time I was in the store a month and a half ago, but it wasn't there when I returned to the used VHS section today. As I was about to turn away disappointed from the used VHS bin, and felt the blood rush back to my head as I stood up, something caught my eye: The Skulls III. My god! They made not just 1, but 2 straight-to-video sequels for this film? Granted, I've never actually seen the film itself and am going purely on hearsay from my punk roommates that this film sucked. It seemed to be yet another one of those horror-of-the-month movie attempting to ride on the coattail of Scream's success back then. I, too, am a punk, so I am going on pure conjecture that their appreciation of film does not stray too far from that of my own.
Anyone else can contribute their astonishment at a "I can't believe they made that [sequel]!" in this thread.
