WTF is with Unrelated (aka Who's Teh Mod?)

The whole Unrelated forum is filled with either

A. My left nut to invade Iraq

OR

B. Old-ass Poll: Can dinosaur shit be eaten?

New mods are needed, sorely.

Why is the suggestion forum even here?

Maybe 2.3% of suggestions actually happen.

The mods should get whoever bumped all those polls a 3 day suspension.

That is all.

I log in enough time here to warrant mod status. Truth be told I would not really take the time to clean up around here but would give everyone funny custom ranks and avatars. Think about how funny that would be. I would also edit lemonparty links into peoples posts and ban them for it. Its radical thinking like mine that could save this forum.

But not because of the usual "OMG nobodies deleting spam, banning, etc." complaint against mods - i think heavy moderation of a board's content sucks balls - but because of a simple example:

i was sorta new to the whole bizarre bbs culture when i regged here and i kinda liked it, so i went and checked out some other boards. This one place i noticed was cool (in a nerdy way of course) and funny and full of content, but i began to notice something else. Any time some intellect-devoid spamwhore or unfunny troll or simple purveyor of overall internet forum-based faggotry began to ply their trade, a mod/admin/autority figure would step in and tell them to shut the fuck up or get off their internet. It seemed to work pretty well.

What are mods anyways but long-standing, knowledgable, and interesting members of a community, no different from any other that falls into this category? THey however, are also respected, lucky, or persistent enough to be given the keys to the estate with instructions to make yourselves at home, but tidy up a bit while you're there. This tidying up doesn't always mean the thread-closing, banning, etc., but taking care of the community you participate in, and this is where ng.com comes in.

We all know the mods who give a shit and the mods who are the shit and the mods who are... well, just shit. This forum doesn't need more drama, that isn't what this post is about. All i am saying is it would be cool to have more mods who participated in threads, flamed the fucktards, and generally seemed like they cared about ng.com or videogames in general.

It's not just unrelated, it's also the general discussion. At it doesn;t seem like anybody posted there today if you actually look at the thread. Maybe there is some wierd glitch going on.

1L year, everyone's like you. By 3L year people have diverged into a wide range of study patterns. Mine is ridiculous amounts of procrastination.

Yeah, I know someone who did the transfer to G-town (I assume that's where you're wanting). American and GW would be easier. Good luck, study hard!

Take practice (or preferably old) tests if your profs offer them. the trick for Law school exams is learning what each prof wants to hear, then writing/typing it fast enough during the exam (they key to speed is preparation and reducing the time you need to stop and think rather than going on your toes)

I'm a step ahead. I got access to all the previous exams and the outlines from each teacher after I signed up for Hofstra Law Women on westlaw. HAHAHAHAHA!

It's probably because the area where Hofstra's actually located sucks massive ass, but as some from Long Island that's just my general opinion.

Threre are a few bars in the area like Bogarts, Tabu and maybe the if Islanders were around (if there wasn't a lockout) make it bareable. But the general club and concert scenes suck ass on Long Island (Collesium only houses shitty mainstream acts that tear by once a month.

Hofstra= no campus life since 80% commute to it from all over the island. I know 87326238764 people that live in my town and commute to Hofstra. The campus is also disturbingly close to the ghetto, but heh I suppose thats a good reason to keep a gun with you on campus.

But the general education level of the college is ok and it's law school is actually really good so I guess thats a sacrifice some people make.

All I know is I hate Long Island with a passion and I couldn't be happier I'm headed upstate or to Boston in January.

Actually, I haven't been on the forum really all day today since work kicked my ass around the block royally. I haven't seen any of the ordeal with the bumping polls, but seems Boback and wasabi are on that. Still dealing with the old thread deletion project too, but that's heavy duty work.

mods can't spell other mods names properly too.
