pleasantly surprised by newly released straight to dvd horror film "MONSTER MAN"

This horror (with a dash of comedy, thanks mostly to our portly friend who plays the typical party animal type character, but he's actually entertaining, and not annoying) film really caught me off guard.

About 2 college buddies roaming across state when they run into a monster truck driven by a .... monster. Definitely ripped off elements of films like TCM, Jeepers Creepers and Wrong Turn. But trust me, I think you'll agree this is one of the better straight to video horror flicks in some time.

The ending is VERY slick.

Well worth adding to the video library!

Yeah, it's a good film.

I love how it takes itself seriously as a horror film, but at the same time is constantly poking fun at its own glaring cliches, and yet it still manages to be very funny and entertaining.

Good special effects too, and enough blood & guts to satisfy the gore-freaks.

Overall, an enjoyable viewing.
