MV1C side to the metalwork of the control panel- other end to the ground/screening can of the psu or mobo.
Its academic really as about half the 120 wires to/from CN6 & 7 are common grounds anyway. Leaving that green ground wire off will not have a great effect- if you do leave it disconnected make sure the wire doesnt hang loose, I had one short to the mobo and fucked it up :annoyed:

mine isn't mounted to the cp....

I put the wires to the corner of the mem reader....didn't know where else to put them...

then the other end to the 4 slot shell. Then, a ground wire to the shell and another wire from the shell to a screw on the metal part of the CP...

still get a buzz from the headphones :(

The grounding between MV-1C and mobo is not causing the hum, try taking an attenuated signal from the speaker outputs (supergun style) using 10K and 1K Ohm resistors and see what happens - not a fix but maybe a temp work around.

I am not touching the stereo/mono setup for the speakers I have. You only really notice the buzz when the music is not playing....Unless there's something I can do with just the headphone setup and cab....I am stuck.

oh well, thanks for the help!

I already attached them, but I would like some picks just to see....

My dad's friend is trying to get me to hook up some wireless headphones for my cab. Any idea of if that would help?

Cool...
I'll take some pics for you tomorrow..

Hmmm,
I'm not sure on the wireless headphones ..but that would be different

Funny thing is I've been wanting to look into a good set myself to use while playing my consoles.

At night I always use headphones to play games ..A pair of Sony's that cost me a nice piece of change awhile back.
Problem is: the wire is a pain... :envy:

Get a test meter and check the continuity between ground on the mobo and ground on the headphone jack -thats the one closest to the actual plug body (away from the tip)

You think I should try taking the ground from somewhere else? It wouldn't be hard at all.
