Help - I've been told Jeff Kurtz can help me with this dodgy Slug 3 AES

I bought a Slug 3 AES (jap version) of a member here a while ago. It used to work fine, but then it stopped doing that. Colours are all messed...and there is a sort of rainbow in the pic. Its all purple too.
Very annoying as I paid good money for this.
Now, I sent it to Rot, and he reckons it s a dodgy boot.
Folk now reckon I should send it to Jeff Kurtz for him to verify this. Would that be ok...if you are readin this Mr Kurtz...as I have never dealt with you.

More info to the cart: The sticker was ripped at the top,ie it looks like the cart has deffo been opened before. So maybe it is a boot....I don't know. I am just annoyed I seem to have bought a faulty game of a member of here and thus lost a lot of cash.
Oh, it came with no manual either. I knew this prior to buying...but maybe this helps in showing its a boot.

If you can't get it open to post pics for people to look at, you are more than welcome to send it to me and I will look at it for you and let you know what I find. If it's an original, I can check it out and see if I can repair it for you too.
