Warning, guys!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=1949491549

The price may seems nice, the seller list the item conditions as 'great', but color fading is running wild on the cover!

He has been trying to sell that Breakers
for a long time now...I am not sure if it is
the same one though.

It's the same one alright. Even though I don't have much experience with this kind of stuff, I noticed that it was heavily sunfaded.

Things like these make me wonder. How come only the rarer carts get so sunfaded. And why would someone keep a rare cart in the sun. LMFAO

Bah!

Everytime I hear something about a Twinkle star sprites, Breakers, Blazing star... the "sunfaded" factor is always here to discuss.

Man, is those games are so rare and expensive, how can those sellers allow those games to reach that condition ?

It's kinda disgusting to see a rare game such as this one with a fucked up "sunfaded" insert.
But do you guys realize how can just a little of "sunfading" can destroy the value of the game ?

I mean the whole game is inside the cart, the insert is just a piece of paper!

Probably a scratched cart would make less loss to the value of the game rather than the looks of the insert!

So all you care is the value of the game?

I do care the condition but not "value" of the game.

same old tired argument.

sunfading is important because that "paper" is part of what is no longer just a "game" but a collectible item. When a game becomes a collectible item, the entire package must be taken into account.

Incredible how a concept so simple fails to be grasped by so many people here.

I may be wrong, but maybe collectors are only willing to sell their suncoloured versions thus increaseing the price of the none affected versions?

Well I'll find out next week if it is or not. I thought it was just from the camera flash. If it is I guess I got fucked. Funny thing is I just had good shit to say about yamatoku in another thread.

Well he described the game as Great, Great, and Great...

Hopefully you get it nicely.

I bought 3 games from him last month
including FF3, RBS, and RB2 and
they all came as described not
sunfading or anything.

Maybe is just his camera but who knows...

Keep us updated.

I never bought any home carts from him before. Everything was always CD's and they were always like new.
I'll keep you guys informed and if I can't tell if there is any fading I'll take some quality pics and post them.

If the fading is very slight it doesn't bother me to much. I like for my stuff to be mint but I'm not completely anal about it.

Esp. considering how many more Japanese sellers these days (on Yahoo) are stating themselves when the inserts of the scarce+costly games are faded.
