Battles Without Honor & Humanity {Jingi Naki Tatakai}
#1 is the best {the one featured in the link}
it's an 8 part serial.
Modern Yakuza: Outlaw Killer {Gendai Yakuza}
#6, and the last of the series
but you don't need to understand
the others. It's stand alone. I'm
going to have the whole series someday.
The Red Spectacles
1984 meets Alphaville w. Anime type sight gags.
Somewhat violent. It's sequel/prequel made a bit
more linear sense. A derranged movie about how
TIME is both friend and enemy to man, and how
we all at some point return to a familiar place.
Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops
Sequel that's events take place before TRS ^
*A story of a man searching for himself and answers
to his past... slow moving but beautiful if you actually
watch it for what it is. The ending is bullet alley against
Mime painted "Communist" like government officials
trying to wipe out any individuality in an era of terror
coming that is seen in TRS.
AVALON
*It isn't a beautiful as
Casshern, but it's
trippy none the less, and a bit more action
packed than Stray Dog. {yes another Oshii film}
Bad Girl Boss
See the synosis in the link.
Tears of The Black Tiger
Odd Thailand Western... a "Western" in Thailand!
Violent Fire
Dead or Alive
Classic
Takashi Miike the one that kickstarted
his outlandish career, and the best of the 3 part series.
Graveyard of Honor {Jingi No Hakaba}
Kinji Fukusaku's 1975
Fuck You Yakuza film
to end all Yakuza film.
...AND THAT'S MY LIST FOR NOW.
