I need to know if there is a cable made that has S-Video on 1 end and RCA connectors on the other. The MVS that I got off D-Lite has the S-Video and I'd like to see how good the picture is run through it. Thanks for any help,
Tony

Radioshack makes a piece that converts s-video to composite. Most stores have it.

There is also a thread about it floating around somewhere.

I bought one of those connectors for $21.95, but when you hook it up to the system and through an RCA cable, you have no sound with it.

So I need to use the RCA jacks on the system and forget about the S-Video until I get a tv that has the S-Video. That good enought for me then. Thanks for the help.

If you have to convert s-vid to composite, combine the chroma via a 470 pf capacitor, like this.

s-vid chroma-----ll------> combined composite (via 470 pf capacitor)

s-vid luma----------------> combined composite

s-vid ground-------------> composite ground

ttooddddyy, that sounds too complicated for me ;) . I'll just get a good long RCA to hook it up with,
