I rented it because, eh what the hell, why not? Sure I find the slowdowns to be a little annoying, but I'm still having an absolute blast killing these Helghast. The Helghast is definitely one of the most interesting enemy templates I've seen in a while. It's not a perfect game, in fact I find it rather rough around the edges(especially when it comes to aiming), but that just adds to the charm of it in my book. I Just wish I had an ethernet adapter to hook it up to my dsl and play it online.

At the very least, this is worth a rental in my book. It's not the halo2 killer, hell it's not even a halo killer, because IT'S NOT HALO. I find them to be two very different games.

Yessir, fookin' great game it is. Instead of rushing through it like I do most games I actually made myself play it in incremeants of 2 hours max. Took me most of the month of November to do it, but when I did on the 27th, it was well worth the drawn-out process. *No it's never going to top HALO but that had more to do with it's PSone style "Pop Ups" of stages, mountains etcetera, the every now and then glitches here or there, and the aiming thing... that I originally stated as being a shit game but had to get used to the system. I think if those things would have been tweaked a bit better, meaning the game would have come out say during the week of XMAS it might have beaten HALO #1. ---Though I'm sure ppl would've been like: "Yeah but you can't comandeer vehicles!" anyhow.

I don't even like comparing the games myself. It really comes down to what type of Sci-Fi FPS game you want to play. If you're down for blasting away militant E.T.s you play HALO, if you want to live out something a bit closer to what could very well happen if mankind ever gets it's ass off of Earth and starts facsimiling Earth and it's culture on other planets... well it only be a matter of time before there was a division and war between the factions. THIS is where KILLZONE shines. I can't wait for the sequel myself, but I'd be willing to wait even longer if they'd tweak all that was wrong with this one and make #2 truly worthy of going head to head with HALO 3.
