For me megaman 2 is the one I played the most when I was a kid so that one is my favorite. I also remember playing the hell out of it. The graphics were unbelievable. Especially when you go into the water in bubble mans stage and fight the huge robotic fish. Another amazing part was in wood mans level when you fought the robotic cougar looking things and the monkeys. The graphics were so good. They still hold up fine today.

I don't think the quality of tight music+graphics+gameplay can be done like this anymore.

I played the hell out of that game! The music in electman's stage (i think that was his name) was just outstanding. I loved how there were only 4 levels and then a bunch of megaman2 bosses.

Rockman & Forte/Megaman & Bass (Super Famicom). Hardest in the regular Megaman series, replay value is so high once you've mastered it.

well, in the regular Mega Man series, its Mega Man 7 on snes. The game is just Fun, thats all there is to it. It's big, colorful, and...fun. I've played through it many many times and still have not got sick of it.

If we're talking ALL mega man games...X1 is my all time favorite out of every mega man game. The music is the best out of all the X games, the level design and how every stage you beat affects another's appearance and gameplay were amazing for it's time. The game is also one of the darker X games. It really is just damn good.

I liked megaman 2 best. 3 was ok too, and 1 was good also.
Metal blade is the best/most useful weapon in the history of megaman though.

Mega Man 3 for me, I couldn't beat 1 & 2 so it was like a new begining for me when I beat 3. It'd be a year later before I could say the same for 1 & 2 :crying:

For the X series I'll say X3, I just loved the fast paced action and utter detail in that game

Megaman 2 for me also. It was the first one I got and played it a lot when I was a kid, like a lot of you did.

After that, X1 is my fave, it was just millions of lightyears ahead of the NES series in graphics, music etc.

Anyway, the series rocked...untill the late PSX versions that is.

cool well i liked megaman 2 but I found Quickmans level hard my friend laughed at me when I told him that 2 was the hardest megaman game on the nes. O yea and to the people that like X the first one has to be one of the best games on SNES. And by the way did anyone get Megaman anniversary collection thats a great game playing all the great classic megaman games and it has the two arcade games that supposedly we never got but I thought i played them before on one of those arcade machines with a whole bunch of games in it. and the new megaman games are just getting crappy like the zero and that NT crap but the original series is the best and X is also really great.

:buttrock: May Megaman Live forever!!! :buttrock:

Heh, Megaman Collection is awesome. Got both PS2 and GCN versions on their launch dates. Surprisingly I was able to get past the reason ppl bash the Gamecube version: funny controls, instead of tracking down a PS2>GCN controller adapter, all i did was just take the splurge and I beat MM1-3 in one day. I still haven't beat Megaman 7 on both of them yet. Final Dr. Wily is being a real cheap ass!

As a matter of fact, I remember back in 1996 we had Rockman Power Battle 2 at our local arcade. But it was only in there for a couple of weeks.

The nes ones in order:

2

3

One is aheadof 3 because it was the first. I think that 3 had the worst controlls....

Rockman... I mean Megaman 3 for me and Megaman 5 as a close second. I also liked Rockman and Forte but not much as those classics. Since I played all of them in Japanese version, Rockman sounds much familiar to me. Never bothered to touch X or Zero or whatnot...

ROCKMAN 2

*my all time fave, though the intro of Rush was cool in the later installments. Overall I'd have to say I like Rockman X3 {whichever one was on the import Saturn with the kick ass anime sequences} but the X series and the regular series are two different things... thus it's ROCKMAN 2
