It just came to mind I remember hearing of a version of Magic Sword where your life did not go down over time... is it true? I'm thinking it was the Euro SNES or Euro Arcade version. Any verification?

Magic Sword (arcade version U.S.) did not drain life over time unless the timer went completely to zero, then you lost the game.

Eh? I own/have played multiple copies of the game (CPS) and your life drains over time... picking up food replenishes life. What are your dips/menu settings at?

all four versions currently in MAME tick off life over time... so unless there's another version that hasn't been dumped (a prototype, perhaps?), it was probably an SNES version.

Thanks for that info. G-Front once had a game listed in their stock as "Magic Sword Special". I emailed them - they never got back to me as to what it was. When a buddy went to Japan this past year he asked them for me - they were stumped.

Yes it does. It appears my post about it not siphoning life was in error. My apologies for that statement :(

Slightly off topic, but does G-Front ship to the US?

Only if you speak the Emporer's Japanese. They always send me an email saying they'll get an english speaking representative to talk to me, but they never follow through. To bad for them... :p

Out of curiousity, Golgo, have you ever played the arcade game Golgo 13? I saw it listed on KLOV.com, but there is much left to the imagination.

Cool. When you were asking about bootleg boards in the other forum I was certain Golgo 13 was the PCB you were after. How do you feel about The Mafat Conspiracy game?
