NGPC PROBLEMS

I was playing my neo geo pocket color today and the batterys ran out and i went 2 get new batterys, and i when i put them in the power came on without me even puttin on the power and now it seems that my ngpc is messed up. If i try to put in different batterys the power is still on.Can someone help me out.Thx.

What's the message the system is giving you?
Are you just changing out the double-As, or the Double-As and the nickel battery?

teh system just go's black...dont kno wat to do might just trhow it in the garbage.
