What videogame you would really like to have but can't?

With all the similar threads lately, I've always been wondering this.

Is there a videogame that you would really want to have in your collection, but that you can't have it because it is too expensive, overpriced, rare, etc.? I mean, that you would buy for sure if it wasn't so rare/expensive and everybody could afford it, that way I want to avoid answers about some desirable games just because of their rarity, I mean games you want because its "playing" factor.

In my case it would be Progear for CPS2 arcade board. It is supposed to be very good, but it is not (publically) emulated so I have only seen it in videos and pics. It is not "hard" to find (just a Japanese loose board, more than enough for me), but I've never seen it for less than 250-300$, and that's way beyond what I would spend in a single game I haven't even tried.

Ahhh, it's just a beautiful game. It gives me orgasms to think this game hasn't
been emulated...

Anyway, I'd really love to have US AES copy of Neo Turfmasters. But seeing as how the last one went for around 2 large, I don't see it happening. :crying:

Psygnosis titles have always been a thing of wonder to me, not that they are rare, but as a collection to have all the FM Towns versions would probably give me a heart attack.

For a single game, probably the Marty version of Shadow of the Beast, It's not out of my means, but I find it hard to psart with large amounts of money :crying:

Mine isn't a game, rather a console.

The Biohazard Code S.T.A.R.S. Dreamcast. Only 200 were ever made.

I guess I'd love to have a copy of Sapphire for the PC-Engine, but its just a bit too expensive for me nowardays.
Mabye a couple years ago I'd have been able to afford it, but nowardays I spend way too much money on anime and 'regular' games so I cant really plunk down over £200 on a game that apparently isnt that shit hot anyway.

I also stopped buying AES games a while ago too. Would love to have bought everything released after RotD (my last AES game) but I just cant justify the cost to myself anymore.

i used to want the two sonic arcade games, but, after being emulated i dont care to spend that much money

it would be fucking bad ass to have a cab all set up with three track balls and the game though.

the fighter is fun, but i dont think i could spend the money

i'd like an atomiswave too, but i cant justify the price when ports are right arount the corner most of the time

Samurai Shodown V

I've bought SSVS thinking it's gonna be SSV + extras

now, I'm not willing to pay another $300+ for a game that is very similar to one of my games. I'll have to wait for the price to go much further down and this is not gonna happen anytime soon.

it's also kinda funny that I mainly bought the AES for KOF2001 and after more than 2 years, I still don't have it. ray_7 offered me KOF2001 with the system for an inresistable price, but I decided to just take the system and buy KOF2002 from the Neo Store instead. I can't believe it's been that long since then.

also, up till now, I've been only collecting games for the pre-Playstation systems (saturn and older). 90% of my next-generation games are copied (except for the Cube). the only games that I bought original were grade-A titles, such as Devil May Cry, MGS2 ... etc.

I'm willing to start collecting these new games once I apply to a job (about after a year from now). but at the momnet, my main concerns are old-RPGs and AES stuff.

For me it is DEFINITELY :

Spike Out

It's a Model III Game, and it is VERY expensive...PLUS I'd need 2 of them to play Co-Op.

Sadly, unless it is Re-released on a Console, I will never again play this game. :(

I'm a gun game fanatic but unfortunately the stuff I want is rarely ever up on EBAY or available through Arcade Distributors {who generally rent the stuff} in it's complete form with no problems. Thus it's not just ONE game I wish I could own but several.

Operation Wolf
Operation Thunderbolt
STEEL GUNNER
Lucky & Wild

I also wouldn't mind having the three screened NINJA WARRIORS either.

Steel Gunner 2 - I've never seen it on ebay and I liked the whole style of this game.

Psychic Warlock Assassin Taomaru - Everything about this game just screams "insane/hyper kinetic/shinobi-esq fun.

There's been a new Spike Out in development for the Xbox for, like, ever. I think it made a showing at the last TGS, so I'm hoping for a release next year. It's on my radar if Sega implements Live co-op multiplayer like they intended.

Anyways, I'd like to get my hands on SamShoV Special and Ninja Masters for teh Neo MVS. I'll wait a little until the SSVS price goes down to $300, and the other one can be had rather cheaply. Now, I just gotta get an MVS... :D

Ohhhh man....even if the game turned out to suck ass, I'd drop some heavy coin for a copy of Sonic X-treme for the Saturn.

Derinpa is rarer (only one ever made)....but it's shit.

Well, I was counting only games actually commercialy released, not canceled protos or whatever, those are another story. In that case, I would pay really big money for an English copy of Policenauts... Rumor has it an English translation was made for the Saturn version...
