We got any on board here @ n-g.com?

In a nutshell I am looking to do something totally different and I have some questions about this career path.

1. How is the pay?

2. What sort of training or school is required.

3. Upsides and downsides?

Thx

my friends an EMT, if you just have the basic training and classes the pay is around 28-30k, if you get an AA degree before becoming an EMT, you get about 38k. you don't get paid much because it's a public service job.

no clue about training or classes, but i know you don't need college to become one, you just have to get certified from an EMT school, get your CPR card, stuff like that.

no clue what upsides or downsides are, if you don't like blood or seeing people fucked up in car accidents, don't become one.

What sort of pay do you get in America, like what is the average salary and what's considered as a good salary for a working proffessional?
