JMKurtz feedback thread

I'm sure Jeff already has a feedback thread of some sort but due to the fact that I kick the most ass this is considered the only official one in existence. Post here if you've done business with JMKurtz.

I just got my Neo back from Jeff Kurtz. I got it all gussied up with component video, digital audio (he did both toslink and coax), and I got my BIOS socketed with a UniBios 2.0 (mainly for SSVS.)

The picture and sound is pure sex. I imagine this is what an RGB modded Neo looks like over in Europe using the scart hookup. The colors are sharp, bright, and vibrant, and the sound is crystal clear. My Neo previously only had S-Video output, and before I busted out the component cables I hooked it up again using S-Video just to see if it looked the same as it did before, and it didn’t. Jeff’s S-Video mod is superior (perhaps is has something to do with his neobitz board.) His technical work is flawless.

As a seller Jeff is just my style. There’s no flash or unnecessary hype, just substance. When dealing with Jeff it becomes clear that he is dedicated to bettering the Neo and the community. While I’m sure he makes a respectable return (as he should) from his dealings, it’s clear that he’s more concerned with passion than with profit… more of a hardcore fan than a businessman. He’s friendly throughout the entire transaction, and my Neo arrived fast with perfect packaging.

As an unbiased party, I definitely recommend Kurtz as the man with the plan when it comes to Neo modification. If you’re thinking about getting your system improved definitely drop him a line. I imagine that Jeff looks much like Merlin as his mods are the stuff of legend.

I bought some artwork from jeff about 2 years ago and I was very happy! He even gave me some free stuff! Jeff is the man! Have no fear this is DEFINATLY one of the good guys!

I've done business with Jeff also ..sent my aes to be moded in every way and he did it in such a professinal way that you couldn't know if it came like that from the factory or if it was done by someone.
To my understanding he is the best.

Well, i sold to Jeff once and he is an excellent buyer through and through.
I hope to have him do a full mod done to my system later on.

I didnt get a full mod done to my AES, but I hope to soon do so. I did get a UniBios installed, and it was done quick, perfectly, and cheap as all hell. Great guy to deal with the whole way thru.

I forgot to mention this part....I dont know how he makes a profit at what I got my stuff for? KOF 98 jap insert for like 6 bucks? Again he is the man!

I had my old Neo modded by him, as well as a MegaDrive. His old mods were the shit, and I'm sure the new style Neobitz board mods are equally awesome. Do not hesitate. Great communication, flawless work. Everybody should buy from this man, as he respectfully supports this community with innovative ideas and gouge-free style. I hope to get the Neo I just scored at work modded by him with component love in the future.

Jeff is compeletely awesome. I had the Neobitz+Unibios mod done by him. Picture quality is outstanding! He will never ignore e-mails either. Great guy.

never dealt with him, but a guy I used to work with got his AES modded by him and it was done fast. Don't know the price stuff, but it looked damn good. I would buy from him without thinking twice.

AES Video Mod + UniBIOS 2.1...great craftsmanship, nice price, couldn't have asked for anything more. Teh legend will never die!

I just had my AES done with the complete mod+unibios 2.1. I'm still waiting for my unit and I can't wait to see it running with component video. So far the transaction was smooth, with quick replies to communications.

Did you run your neo with an HDTV? Or was it a vanilla TV set with component inputs? I plan to hook up my neo to a regular tv, with component inputs, as it was advised to have the best picture quality when it comes to the neo.Your statement regarding, the picture quality being very close to an RGB mod is something I'd love to see with my system.

Any advise on component cable brand would also be nice.

I've also dealt with Jeff a few times, he's tops!
