My parents just bought a neo geo HS-5 arcade machine for 250 at an auction. It's in perfect running order, the monitor is completely working and only thing wrong is the second player C button won't work. But thats pretty easy to fix I've been told.

So I opened up the back of this puppy and couldn't find the game slot (not sure how many a HS-5 has) in it. Here are some pictures if it helps. It came with Sengoku 3, not sure what else you need to know

This is the back opened up

well it looks like your posting a picture of the monitor board and not the game board itself. instead of looking behind the monitor, which is where you looked, look down near the coin door for a board. frankly, i have no idea what kind of neo geo you have, but most have metal protection plates over them with cartridges sticking out. so look down below and if you still have problems post pics and questions again for us. maybe even a pic of the cabinet (or two).

opening the service door I guess thats what you call it, its where the coin return buttons are I found a neo geo service manual. The machine is a MV-1FZ. I still don't see anything else in there besides wires and the bin where the money falls down.

The FZ has the cart slot on it.

It sounds like your C button might just be broken. Open up the cotroll panel and take a look.

well I'm still looking for it the manual has a diagram of it but doesn't say where it is. I'm guessing its somewhere real obvious and I'm not seeing it. The only board I can find is aparently for the monitor unless it's under the control board which I have no idea how to open.

Also thanks for the help so far guys/girls.

It could be mounted on the inner wall of the cab as well or under the control panel.
