I use to love the NBA, but now I can't get into it anymore. Something happend after the end of the Jordan Bull's era I can't pin-point exactly, but it's killed any desire I have to even watch a few minutes of any game. College hoops has my full attention now. Anyone else feel the same on the this ?
I completely agree. It's hard to put a finger on it, but I believe it has a lot to do with overpaid players who have terrible, terrible attitudes.
It's just so hard to support a league made up of thugs/ wannabe thugs and a central league office that seems to have absolutely no power over it's players. One example, I'm probably wrong but I believe that there's no drug policy OF ANY KIND in the NBA. The phrase, "The inmates are running the prison," comes to mind.
And I realize that there are still a lot of people who enjoy the NBA and it will always have supporters, but I believe, and certainly hope, that more people will wake up and realize that the product that the NBA is putting out there for consumption is flawed.
One could say that many people have been realizing this and have been responding by not supporting it. Since the Bulls/ Jordan glory days, attendance has been down in many cities. In my opinion, that's exactly what the NBA deserves--continually declining support.
