Baseball Stars 2 Japanese Version Question?

I have Baseball Stars 2 for the CD system. Whenever you win a game you are taken to a menu with some of your players. What is this for? Obviously I am asking because I can't read Japanese. Is it allowing you to upgrade particular players? I understand the power upgrade, but not the rest of it? Thanks

The manager asks you which player or sometimes pitcher you want to swap for a much more powerful player but only for that one game.

Classic game. I can't remember which team he is on, but Sergio has to be easily the best batter in the game. It's outta here.... It's a HOME RUUUUUUN!!!! Every time with that beefy bastard!!!
