Yes, folks! It's true! I'm selling an actual arcade machine!

*19" display
*2 joysticks
*all buttons working
*functional LCD credit displays
*coin doors with locks and keys
*2 free games to boot (BB Stars Pro & SS II)

This cabinet is dedicated and is one of the few 19" mini-cabs SNK issued during the NEO·GEO's initial launch back around '91. Instead of a red coat, it has a woodgrain coat. This is not a conversion (meaning not a homebrew cabinet)!

Now, how you do get this? Well, there's a catch. You must live near me, which is in the San Jose, CA area. Bring me the cash (or send via PayPal) and pick up the machine. It's as simple as that.

Sorry, but I do not have the means to deliver to your door nor will I package & airmail it to those outside of driving distance of me.

Please make your offers either here in this Forum or e-mail me directly. Also, no offers for PS2 or GBA packages..I have them.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

you know that hardly anyone plays on the Neo Geo cabs in pittsburgh except me and this other little 10 year old black kid... But the screw balls who run the Tilt will only sell for over $600 a cab. What losers!

OK to respond to the posts so far:

GameFan - Yes, I have pics. You will have them tonight in your e-mail. As for delivering, I'm sorry, but I clearly state you must come and pick it up.

Ralfakick/Blaine/EvilWasabi - I have found that the Pennsylvania area as well as New Jersey are both high in finding used cabs after going thru multiple bulliten boards and arcade sales sites. Maybe you should try looking some more. Sorry, but I don't have any specific info. Good luck in getting your cabs.

Because California has most of the big arcades, plus it's very easy to import cabs from Japan, that's why theres so many Japanese cabs for sale/auction out of Cali.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I cannot upload or e-mail pics of the cabinet. The only digital camera I have access to (dad) isn't working, and I've been combing over every floppy I have hoping I kept past pics of it. I'm about half way thru them so far.

Either way, my dad's camera is being replaced Wednsday, so if I don't find the pics by then, I'll go to my storage and take new ones.

I ask all of those interested parties to please be patient. I also wish to apologize for slowness of getting this vital information to you all.

Oh, a final addition. I WANT PHONE NUMBERS! If you are seriously interested in my machine, give me your number at home (include area code)!

1) Lots of computer geeks here who like big toys--check www.caextreme.org for what we do for fun
2) Lots of coin-op companies here like, um, SNK, Data East, and Atari! Well, okay, not any more...

Still, Jersey's a hotbed of coin-op auction activity...east coast has its share. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

OK I found a disk of pics I took while moving recently, so they are available at:
http://thedarksideofthemoon.com/scott

As to the e-mails and inquiries about how much I want, I paid $500 for it & its condition is virtually the same. I'm not expecting to get that back, but to put it plainly, the highest reasonable offer gets it.

Still haven't recieved any decent cash offers as of yet. While I won't name names, $100 is NOT going to happen folks! Period!

Keep the offers coming (and climbing)!

Also, if you have any questions about the machine, please ask. I'd rather you know 100% about it, then to spend your hard earned money to be stressed by any misunderstandings. However, I have noticed most NEO people are some of the smarter folks in the world.

When is your deadline for accepting reasonable offers? I live in San Jose and need an MVS System.
But if I don't end up winning, do you know of anywhere I can test out MVS carts to make sure they work? I bought some off Ebay but I'm still waiting for my Phantom.

There is no "deadline" of any sort right now. If I don't get any offers that I deem sensable, the cabinet is stored and secured, and I don't mind keeping it longer.

However, since I am done with NEO, I do wish to part with it. Send me an offer via e-mail or here, and I'll get back to you.

As for testing out MVS carts, unless you are buddy-buddy with any arcades, I think you're gonna have to get your own MVS unit (HINT!).

Oh..just wanted to point out, since a few of you offered game systems for my cabinet. I have Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. I do NOT have an X-Box yet, so if you are going to offer me a game system, X-Box will be the only one I will accept.

Well, I am now regretting my post about game consoles. I've been offered NES, Super NES, Genesis, Virtual Boy..can we please get just a little more lame folks? I said X-Box and only X-Box!

Anyways, I'm going to put the machine on eBay this Sunday, but the "local" rule stands. I'll post the URL for the auction once it's posted.
