Help out a newbie please!!!

I just bought a Japanese Neo Geo AES system, and I want to ask a question since this is my very first Japanese console. I was reading somewhere about a step down converter. Do I need one of these if I am playing my system in the US? I have been playing the shit out of SVC Chaos, and it seems to run fine. I have only noticed that the power pack runs a little warmer than usual. I need to know if I need this before I damage my system. Thank you for your help.

Don't bother...
These psu's are made to handle a %10 difference in input voltage.

Just don't leave it running around the clock

Don't sweat it. I played mine that way for years, and no problems.
