So the broken bitches known as Geese & Zero are top, while Terry is supposedly good as well. But does anyone have a tier list

1.) Tier list of the normal characters

2.) A tier list of the secret characters

3.) A tier list of both normal & secret characters together

At the moment I'm hearing Zero & Geese are god tiers, Terry is alos good, while Genjyuro is bottom tier. At themoment I like M. Bison I'm workin on these combos to perfect them

Jumping deep SK, crouching SP, Psycho Crusher (SP)

Jumping deep SK, crouching SP, Double Knee Press (LK)

While I have trouble with comboing into supers but I can two-in-one them

crouching SP, Mega Psycho Crusher

crouching SP, Knee Press Nightmare (SK)

it's true, those four are leagues better than everyone else in the game.

most people interested in tier lists only care for the top tier characters anyway. sorry if that's not what you were after.

I don't think anyone's bothered to make a completely comprehensive tier list for this game since it has issues. If someone has, you asking for it that way won't get it, Despair. Probably depends where you play also, because I've heard a lot of people say Guile is nerfed in SVC, but Gaira rates him high. Anyway, he gave you 3 tiers which should be enough to start with....Boss/high/low.

Genjuro isn't bottom tier.

Most people fall under that misconception because they don't know how to use him properly in SvC.

He can play a great pressure game, dominate the air and deal some hefty damage under the right circumstances -- back when this game first came out and I actually took it seriously, I took many people by surprise with Genjuro because none of them knew how to use him the right way.

I'm one of those people who doesn't know how to use him in SVC. I play here and there on live, but I want a fucking arcade stick, but it's sold out everywhere/on back order. Pissed off.

I would say he is. If only for the fact that almost all his normals and specials leave him wide open for a gcfs counter because of the long recovery time.

Genjyuro does good damage with some ok specials like the unblockable but its hard to set-up and hit with it. The DP Slash is great for wake-up, his SP is safest from maximum range. All of his moves are very unsafe. He has some good combos though

Jumping deep LP, standing close SK (2 hits), DP + SK, DP + SP or Exceed Activation

I also found a bad azz DHALSIM combo. Do a Yoga Drill (LK), once u land do his Exceed. It's possible to get up to 11 hits. With Dhalsim, that is beyond good!

Yup. Shiki is knocking on the door with pseudo-redizzy setups off of the confusion throw, but not quite there.

Guile's motions are messed up, but his fast recovery time on certain charge moves is retarded.

Genjuro can zone and crosses more distance on qcf+A than people think, but he is not an inherently strong character in this game. It's not like there aren't 2 more recent games where you can wreak havoc with Genjuro anyway...

Edit: I completely forgot about Mr. Karate. He's closer to the top tier than even Shiki because of the priority on his moves and the damage he can deal.

I still don't understand why all the people who want to know tier list bear Capcom avatars. :smirk: I'm suprised that no one has mentioned Hugo yet. Personally, I don't think Genjuro is the worst character in the game. I think that goes to Ryo. As much as it sucks saying that since Ryo's a badass, I don't think he's got what it takes in SvC. From what I have seen anyways.

Shiki is mid tier at best. All of her moves can easily be GCFS'ed and it's extremely risky to use her f+A, A, A, A (or B) chains because of this. Without that she has no real good way of landing combos. Her command grab is good like you said, but it's not reliable enough to advance her far against an experienced player.
