It's a one time showing as part of a Boston film festival. I have the art book for this new movie and I just can't wait to see it. My girlfrind and I will be driving in from western mass later today to see it , but I already got my tickets online. Brattle Theater
For anyone who is unfamilliar with Appleseed, it is based on a terrific manga by Masmune Shiro, the artist/writer behind Ghost in the Shell and the Intron Depot books. Fortunately (IMO) Appleseed isn't so falsely pretentious as GITS.
The movie it'self is CG, but is cel shaded to look more 2-D. Oh yeah, this is a one time showing and it starts at 7:30. I saw Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust at this theater and it was TOTALLY worth it- so much better than watching it on DVD!!!
