KOF: MI Mission Mode help

Hey folks. I was tearing through Mission Mode in KOF: MI but am now stumped on Mission 2-05, the one where you have to combo Seth and completely deplete his life. Now this may look like simple task, but you Desperation moves have been disabled. I am honestly having real difficulty with this, I've torn pretty much through all the others save a few Rank 3 and most of Rank 4 missions.

Here's the combo I did to do it.

With K' a good distance away from the wall (you'll have to experiment to get the distance right at first).

cD (knock down) qcf+A, b+B (juggles), dp+C, f+D (bouce off wall), dp+C

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I tried some Stylish Arts with various characters and link into a special move, but there would ALWAYS be that fraction of life left on Seth. That just ticks me off

Also some Rank 3 & 4 missions got me irrated, but I think I can get past the hurdle. If anyone else has mission mode questions, post him here! Maybe we can iron out everyone's woes

Well I got around to trying it and it WORKED! Thanks for your help. The distance for the wall was from the at dark grey strip, looks like a grate, on the stage.

Maxima with %500 life, DAH! I've gotten slow close to beating him and I either run out of time or run out of life. I've been using Terry for this one. Any tips on characters/combos/desperation moves to beat this one?

I beat this mission twice (one on Japanese import and once more on US beta version) and I used Maxima and Kyo. Use the Maxima Scramble over and over again constantly and use Bunker Buster whenever you got the power gauge filled. Occasional Vapor Cannon works good too. For Kyo, use one of the longer Stylish Art.. I think it was the fourth one, but you gotta modify it a little: Front C, C, Diagonally Front Down D (then he does the 88th), then do 75th Kai about two or three times then finish the combo with the RED Kick. Do this combo over and over again. If you want to use other characters, there are tons of different infinite combos... like Terry's infinite Powerdunk. Once you got the timing right, it's pretty easy.

EDIT: Oh one more thing. You gotta try to corner the opponent against the wall at all times. especially if you're going to do some infinite combos.... I just played around for awhile and infinite Zantetsuken by Ryo while the opponent against wall works pretty well...

FINALLY! Just beat Maxi-Pad aka Maxima. Now the 30 hit combo on level 4 mission, ARGH :blow_top:

That one's not that hard either. The easist way to do it is: first choose Ryo and fight until you have 2 super gauges, then do Zantetsuken with strong punch, as soon as Ryo finishes his move, use Ryuu Ko Ranbu with a weak punch button. It works better when the opponent is against the wall. If successful, you'll have a exactly 30 combo move.

The Zantetsuken is only 15 hits, is there a stylish art I to lead in with?

Zantetsuken is 15 hits then you can connect it with RyuuKo Ranbu which is also 15hits = 30hits exactly. I said you gotta get at least two power gauges because RyuuKo Ranbu needs two gauges (I think)

Ah okay, and I'm gonna need them up against the wall to get the juggle to connect.

As far as I know you can do this in a direct combo... no wall bouncing needed.
BTW, if your opponent in a corner, against a wall, you can do Zantetsuken infinite combos.

Try mulit hit moves that do a lot of guard damage and break the meter like Ryo's Zantetsuken, Athena's Phoenix Arrow, Ralf's Ralf Tackle.

I don't quite remember well but I think I pretty much did the same thing with Kyo and Maxima like I told you before... I just made sure that I built super gauges up while he's guarding and try to connect those aforementioned combos with a super move when his guard breaks.

BTW Athena has a really nice Stylish Art that works pretty well on most of the missions but I forgot which one that was. You can use that while opponent is against the wall then connect it with Shining Crystal Bit. Works pretty well.

how can Ryo do Zansetzuken? isnt that Odins move in final fantasy?

plus im sure that takes 2 bar powers.

im stuck on the 30 hit combo and the Kyo Kusanagi one.

LOL at Final Fantasy Fanboy. and I said Zantetsuken... I'm sure that FF summoning move is completely different compared to what I mentioned. I am fluent with Asian language when it comes to Chinese characters (Kanji, Hanmun, whatever you wanna call it) and I know that spelling is correct. (BTW the name of Odin's move's last character and Ryo's move's last character might sound same, but Odin's mean sword and Ryo's mean a fist to begin with)

Anyways if you've played KOF series long enough, or played Art of Fighting, you would know the move's been there since the beginning. It's : Front, Back, Front +A or C. and does not require any super guages.

I have mentioned how to beat that mission on my previous posts. Try those missions couple times, they are not that hard.

to be honest i used a good portion of the missions with duke. since he has that long string of attacks that the cpu like to use and abuse, it also works well against the cpu. just beat the game with soriee and alba to get him.
