halo 2 what do you think so far!

from what i have played its seems very cool. gfx and sound are better. 2X better.
i have to try multi player more later when my friends stop over.
so far the new multi player maps look really nice and deep.
the remade ver of battle creek and blood gulch seem smaller...
but they do look much better. the new gfx in multi player make the halo1 levels look dated. the jeep controls seem a little diff. i like the old feel better.
halo2 has about the same amout of multiplayer levels as halo1.
i hope you can earn more as you play the one player game.
i know they said they will be making downloadable levels.
they have one snow level you can even see the snow flakes falling.
the only thing i did not like about this level was the level was high up on catwalks.
i miss the sidewinder level and how it was on the ground. they could have made a really cool snow level that you are on the the gound where the ice effects the play control ect...
at this point i would say halo2 is a good game but will always keep halo1 out to play also.

dont feel too bad.its not a free meal ticket for me. i will get my full real ver of halo2 nov 9th. the collectors edition baby!

i just think of it as free renting....
look at it this way one copy of the game has to sell to make the copy.
not much better than block buster buying a game once then renting that game a few 1000 times. that one game in some way turns into profit not going in to the the programers hands..... and not one copy was made.. but how much diffrent is it really...?

Not...really. Its theft, plain and simple. Doesn't mean I'm not trying to steal it too, but come on, just because you (and I) have the game pre-ordered doesn't make it any better.

Meh, if I had a modded Xbox, I'd be looking for a torrent as well. But I don't.

No bother, I can wait for the 9th. It would be nice to get a jump on the game and get used to the tweeked mechanics though so I have a chance at being competetive on Live.

I've just completed the first level, I'm not impressed so far. I don't see many changes from the original, which I liked a lot at its time, but I expect much more nowadays. We'll see.

Does this version have english/subtitles or is entirely in french?

Voices are in French, but I have subtitles and all the in-game menus totally in Spanish (because my Xbox is set to Spanish). I am pretty sure all the text will be in English if the Xbox is set to English, according to the nfo it has English, German, Italian, French and Spanish languages.

The game is pretty good. New weapons, etc. Some levels only have just the overshield and no invisy though. Also no more quick reload or double melee.

It's funny how many previously all gung-ho pirate whores are now all "Oh my God, they can't do that to Halo 2". What a loud-mouthed buncha pirating hypocrites. Minus the honorable buyers among you, it looks like karma has caught up with the XBox fans to some degree.

As DashK said, this is the same thing as people who download crappified DivX versions of flicks filmed with a camcorder a week before the movie comes out in theaters. I've already paid my cash for the game, and just want to play the real thing.

ROM piracy as it relates to MAME is very different when dealing with games that are for the most part no longer commercially viable, or games that simply cannot be found anymore. I have all the ROMs for the Midway games featured on Arcade Treasures 2, but I still went out and bought it anyway. If a company coughs up something good, I'll support it.

this is not to be a boot leg debate.
what do people thing of halo2 no spoilers.

more things i hate so far

should have an option to turn off veicale damage.
should take damage from high falls or an option.
have a power bar with the shield or the option to have it.
so far only zanzibar shows level damage and not even that much.
they have no bots for battle mode maps.
they have no system link for co op.
few multi player maps.
glitches like gun stations that still shoot when you just have a busted pole left.(zanzibar)
physics seemed dummied down.(may need to have for less lag on xbox live)
the announcer during battle mode needs a stfu .... falls behind(you lost the lead you took the lead you lost the lead ect...)

for a game that took this long it sure shows any lack of any real effort.
they did just the minimal work needed to make a new game.
