I ripped my first CD to my iPod and the itunes software knew the names of all the tracks!

OMG teh easy!

They make it easy so even clueless mothers can load up iPods. Going for the least common denominator when designing products and interfaces DOES make a difference.

It's nice to have a lot of features, but sometimes it's nice to only have a few features you'll definitely use that are well documented.

agreed. next to vibrators and Dinkins back side, Ipods are tops in my book...
