Holy Crap!

I just played about 3 hours of this game today, and I must say it is incredible.

I never purchased in way back when it came out, mostly due to everyone saying it was bad, but I must say that this is by far the best Zelda game I have played, and I played them all.

anyone else love this masterpiece?

I love this game. It's very innovative and there's nothing else quite like it on any console. Reliving the same day over and over... I wish there were more games like that.

I have a version for my gamecube, but I really got a big kick out of it back on the N64.

Seriously, even people who think this game is no fun ought to admit that it's a great idea. I never got it when people just bashed this game without mentioning how awesome the idea of reliving the same day over and over is. There's so much to discover and so much you can change each day.

I love Majora's Mask. It's definitely not for everyone, but it has to be one of the most original and surreal games out there.

I think you almost had to like Ocarina to like MM. Not just because the gameplay is so similiar, but because it is so strange to interact with all the things from OoT in their alternate forms. I also love the fact that there is this cheerful music in the town and people are just carrying on, despite the fact there there is a giant moon staring down at them.

MM is definately one of my favorite Zeldas. I thought the concept sounded lame, but once I got into it I really was blown away. I liked MM much more than OoT, which some people I know think OoT is the best game ever.

Didn't care for the game when it came out, don't care for it now. *Is the novelty of living the same day over and over again great? NOPE, strangely enough Nintendo did manage to pull it off, and it's worlds better than Wind Waker but it just wasn't my cup of tea. To be honest I was annoyed with having to relive the same day again and again. I felt like Bill Murray in "Ground Hog Day" only it was Link. No one's going to say the game is horrible, but it is certainly not for everybody. As far as 3-D Zeldas go, Oot was the best.

Shiggy says it's his favorite, and that's good enough for me.

I never liked MM, although I am one of the people who claims OOT is one of the, if not the, best game ever.

guess what? I enjoyed MM more than OoT, though all the problems that made me dislike Oot are still there in MM. dunno why.

both games are superb,
easily the best 2 chapters in the zelda series, imo

and possibly even the 2 greatest games evar,or something to that effect

but ocarina isnt better than majora

i gotta say i like them equally

but to tell the truth,
i think there's a lot more to do in majora

i know there are only 4 main dungeons instead of 2739

but getting all the masks ( yes,"pissed off link" one included )

and making everybody happy ( bombers notebook )
is a lot more fun and challenging than finding the 100 gold skulltulas

majora has got a different feel to it,though
its darker,heavier in some way...

its difficult to get into the game if you are expecting another toki no ocarina...

the plot / story in majora is simply genius ( the skull kid,the other 4 kids and the masks, hide and seek, the guardians... )

ocarina had an ok plot, but was truly predictable in the end...

i can only find one flaw in majora ( played it through a cube, btw )

of course it uses the same engine of ocarina

but the improved effects / gfx and the lack of fog

( hell, you can see the entire hyrule field without a trace of ugly pop-ups )

sometimes take their toll,
and the framerate drops to what ?

10 fps ?

lol

that aside, majora for me is just as good as ocarina ( but with a better plot and better side quests )

Kamigami no Triforce > any other Zelda game

Yume wo Miru Shima > any other Zelda game but Kamigami no Triforce

...

I pray for Minish Cap

Seems' that's going to be very Fushigi na Ki no Mi like, just with a updated graphix. Not a bad scenario.

I bought the pal 64 release for my girl a year ago

despite being a huge zelda fan she found it balls hard to begin with and hasnt played for about 8months now. I often harass her on the fact she's not a 'hardcore' zelda fan and get a pillow thrown my way, but meh, she's said many times she'll pick it back up.

:)

Certainly, Majora's Mask is an unrecognized classic. I understand why some people have trouble with it, but it is still a superb game in all respects.

Majora's Mask is easily the BEST Zelda ever made.

Ocarina may have been a spectacular impact, but Majora's Mask is way more fun to complete at 100% than OOT. Just like Fran said. Collecting all the masks and completing the Bombers Notebook tasks is amazing. You end up spending more time on it than just beating the dungeons.

And Majora's Mask does not need to have like zillions of dungeons to beat to make it fun.

It has the greatest feel on any 3D Zelda.
