kof 2004 dedicated cab?

I know Neowave isn't KOF '04, since it doesn't continue story from '03, Kyo has his old clothes, etc.. But we have heard from SNKP that they might not want to number the KOFs anymore. I think it was about this time last year we started hearing announcements for '03...is it possible we won't have a KOF '04? Is it possible when they do continue the story, that the game won't be numbered, but have its own title (along the lines of the recent Neowave or Maximum Impact)? Just wondering out loud. They could work on it longer and leave it in arcades longer...

I hope that 2004<>NeoWave. I was hoping that 2004 would be a separate game altogether. I guess it would be somewhat fitting to change the version scheme for KOF, since it is no longer on the Neo; maybe it's for the best that the last "year" version KOF is 2003, to distinguish the KOF's developed on the Neo from those for the AW.
