Because very few of them were made and it was only released in Japan.

I believe it was a Japanese only production run and only 1,000 copies were made. Pretty much one of the rarest carts out there. I -think- it was only for sale direct to arcades, but not sure.

the price is steep but oh is it worth it.

I received my SSVS kit from Tom today and it was practically flawless. Great transaction, good communication, and excellent packaging.
