Help! Can't get my avatar working! Edit: Working!

I tried downloading a new avatar from my computer (Like I always do), and it keeps saying error. I try using one from my Photobucket account, and it says it can't find anything at that url. :spock:

Anyone else having problems?

i think photobucket is having problems lately i heard something about emergency maintenance or something. :eek:

Well, my sig is still working, but I simply can't DL an avatar off my compter (which is what I normally do), and I've never been able to use Photobucket for Avatars. Only Sigs! :spock:

I noticed I couldn't "Browse" my computer for my custom avatar, but I could put the URL in and it worked fine. I don't know why.

Dont click in the bubble for "use custom avatar".

It has never worked for me when using a custom avatar for some weird reason.

Tried it. It selects it automatically when I browse, so I un-clicked it, and it still won't work!

Any ideas anyone?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. apparently, there's something wrong witht he permissions, which is preventing people from uploading avatars from their computers. However, you can still grab stuff from online, so you're probably having a problem with photobucket.

Thanks, but I've never had Photobucket work for my Avatar. Only sigs seem to work. Really doesn't make sense.

That's really odd, because the only way I was able to get my present avatar uploaded was by uploading it from photobucket, then pointing the forum to the link.

The only thing I can think of at this point is to try using some other hosting service.

Are you copying the right link into the custom avatar box? I had been doing so many
type pictures with my sig that I forgot that the avatar had to be a regular URL for it to work. :emb:

Most of the time i've uploaded my avatar from my PC. Somes it doesn't all ways work,but i've been told the server.Here acts goofy some times and doesn't all ways work right. Other then that in the past i've, found out the hard way BMP, images can not be uploaded on here. :confused:

I've double checked, and I use a standard url.
