Hello can anyone help me with this, I've got an AES machine that came in a japanese box and with the japanese 100v power supply, however a few people have told me they think it's actually a US machine by the model type.

Here's my model/serial details

can anyone shed any light on this as I've tried searching the web but just ended up even more confused!!

Well the best way to find out if your AES system is US or jap all you need to do is take a US game and pop it in turn on your system and if all the text is in jap then its a jap system. If its in english then its a US sytem. Or if you have a jap game and put that in and it comes up in english its a US system. I am sure you get what I am trying to say LOL

Thanks, yes the problem is that I don't have a single cart for the system! I've got an MVS cabinet so I've bought all my games for that and sort of neglected the AES.

BTW I know theres a problem with the photo at the moment, the model type is AEC

A picture of the power supply might help.

Yes I did consider that, the thing is I'm planning on getting rid of the AES (and picking up MVS Turf Masters as compensation to myself). At the moment though I'm not sure whether it's worth selling everything sperarately if I've got both US and JPN bits all put together as a Frankenstien setup!

Hey Alex, I may be interested in buying your AES if you're selling. I've got hold of all the bits and some games only to find out my machine isn't working! Pm me if you're interested.

I'd prefer to know if it's a Jap or US machine first though...
