I had a professor make that mistake my first week of college: he pointed us to whitehouse.com instead of .gov

The Daily Show really had fun with that mistake, as well as the "I've never met John Edwards" remark.

Incidently, factcheck.org (run by UPenn) nails both candidates for the debate, including Cheney's own gaffe with their URL
