$10,000 seems a bit steep for just saying shit on TV.
A few years ago on FOX their was a live stunt show on and Robbie Knievel hit some crazy ass jump on his motorcycle and for about 5 seconds all your heard over and over was "YEAH MOTHER FUCKER!!!" before the audio feed went silent for 15 seconds. As far as I know he was never fined, then again this was pre-nipplegate

And by the way, I support them docking his points. Athletes and public figures of all kinds should start taking responsibility for themselves (especially since there are a lot of young kids that watch Nascar), and this is a punishment he'll actually care about.
