Don't know if this was posted yet:
I just got the November Issue of the Official Playstation Mag at a local grocery mart this afternoon. I saw that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was on the cover. I didn't think it was anything special until I looked in the back and saw that it had a playable demo of some games.
I looked at the list of games and right at the top it said, "Best Playstation 2 Demo Disc Ever." I was like, "How so?"
Then I saw, "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater," was on the List! I was like, "OH HELL YEAH! I have to buy this."
Anyway, the game is a month away from release. Might as well see this sucker running in action. Prep myself up for the jungle setting this time around.
Right off the bat, GRAPHICS are Amazing!
Every detail is in there. Grass sways in all sorts of directions. Actually a good way of detecting animals, ala snakes and alligators. Yum.
When going in a mud puddle, the mud actually stays in your pants when you get up. I just drowned in some quicksand too.
There's even a detection percentage on how well you blend in with the surroundings. The different Camo suits will definitely play a role for sure in the game.
So far, it's like playing the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo, that was package with the original Zone of Enders. Everything is spoken in Japanese with English Subtitles. Akio ????? reprises his role as the Snake voice actor.
New Codec scenes look pretty kewl. No longer two portraits talking to one another. It's a full body picture of Snake(whoever this Jack is???) in a crouching position listening threw codec, while the person he's talking to can be seen threw a picture. Your given four pictures and two bios of the person your talking. You can press left or right while doing this.
Anyway, off to play some more until the demo ends. I'd say those who are planning on getting the game go down and check out the demo. It's probably what people played at this years E3.
CQC BABY!
Btw, I wish they could of added the music they used in the original trailer when this Snake(Jack) does the Halo drop off the end. That theme was awesome. It's only the demo anyway. Could be in the real game.
P.S: Neo Contra is also playable on the disc. Go Konami!
