Enough said. Daisuke Inoue is Teh Man as far as I'm concerned, for internationally recognized lasting contributions toward the betterment of mankind. Be sure to listen to his acceptance speech, it's frigging funny as hell. You need RealPlayer or Windows Media Player.

Daisuke Inoue, the inventor of karaoke, was awarded the 2004 Ig Nobel Peace Prize last night, "for inventing karaoke, thereby providing an entirely new way for people to learn to tolerate each other." The Ig Nobel Prizes are awarded annually for achievements that "celebrate the unusual" and "honor the imaginative," according to its organizers, The Annals of Improbable Research. We hear Inoue accept the prize at last night's ceremony.
