Last Blade newbie question

I tried searching for it but I couldn't find my answer so here's my question:

In Last Blade 1...when I select my character...I usually press A,B,C, or D. But once I pressed start to select them...and the character immediately looked more "evil" or "darker"...I couldn't find any changes in him/her as the darker version. Are there any differences here or is it just to make the game look nicer?

To make the Game look nicer??? :eek:

All you can try, is to play as Boss. Don´t know more Hints in that Game. You´re talking about the 1st one, aren´t you?

Yeah, I'm talking about the first one. I don't want to play as the boss. I'm just saying that when you press start to select your character, the character turns into a darker version of him/herself....I'm just wondering what the difference is

I see what you mean. There are some characters that are WAY more beautiful in dark version. But concerning the gameplay/abilities, it changes nothing at all, just for the beauty.

In almost every fighting game ever released, is a function where in the character select screen you may choose a different color palette for your chosen fighter.

That is all it is. Many alt colors are certainly cool looking, i'll give you that.

As for me, I always stick with defaul colours! :)
