Taking xbox apart

ive just bought one of these light kits



ive taken the xbox apart ok and taken out the control ports which was quite simple, but im struggling like fuck to remove the eject/power button switch,it looks like you can unclip the front of the xbox so you can get to it but ive been pulling on it quite hard and it wont free (i dont want to snap it)

so will i have to take the whole guts out,If i cant get the front off

There's 4 clips, 2 on each side that you have to flex to get the front off. They are quite strong so you have to use a little force. Don't be afraid of snapping them, they are quite tough.

If that doesn't help, check out Xbox Scene tutorials sections. There's bound to be something there that will help you.

When I painted my xbox i broke part of that plastic button thing, so yeah be careful. Now my power button doesn't stick out all the way but is still functional.

im going to go for a clear jewel next and light that blue also

Yeah be sure to heat it real good because I cracked my jewel also. LOL
