 Are the 4 or 6 Slots any better or do they
have some problems that i've been hearing about
because i want to buy a 4-Slot or a 6-Slot MVS board
so i can switch between games like my Consolized
2-Slot MVS board that i have right now & how much
does it cost to have the 4 or 6 Slot MVS board to be
consolized?

Thanks

Regards.

I have worked with some four slots before... I like them. SOmetimes they tend to be a littl picky on what carts gp in what order....... But that's usualy overstated. 4 carts should last at least a 2 hour sitting.

THe downside to a 4 slot is the lack of a builti in memory card reader.

I have nerver owned a 6 slot but they are supposed to be rather temermental. I wouldn't recomend them for a consolization because they require more power than a tabletop power supply.

I also sent ya a PM...

How many games have you got? 4 or 6?

seriously though - buy a four slot. 6-slots as this guy says are touchy.

4-Slot MVS board

 Oh so you mean the 4-slot MVS boards works really good
when it is consolized to play on my 52-inch Toshiba big screen
TV that i have in my room.

My consolized 2-Slot MVS board has no problems at all & works
perfectly whenever i play it. :D

I have 5 MVS Kits & 3 MVS bare carts right now. :drool_2:

A total of 8 MVS carts. :)

MVS Kits

Kof's 2002

MS4

Rotd

SS5

SDB

Bare carts

Blazing Star

Metal Slug 5 ( Boot ) accidently bought it from ebay . i forgot who though  but it works perfectly on my unit or the Phantom-1 convertor
too.

I hate when that happens

I plan on buying the legit MS5 MVS Kit soon though :buttrock:

I'll let you know if i could buy it alright. :multi_co:

Thanks a bunch guys!

I have a couple of 6 slots and can say they are not as unreliable as some make out, the more slots the better imho.

Have to agree...6 slot is the way to go. The one I have is actually LESS tempermental than the 4 slot it replaced ;)

This is actually the second 6-Slot that I consolized. Both boards ran perfectly. They require alot of amps in order to run, but once you get the proper PSU, you should be fine.

Yes, Metal Slug action at it's best :)

Go with a 6 Slot. They're not nearly as tempremental as the masses make them out to be. I've never had any trouble with mine.

Kenny that pic made me fell all warm and fuzzy inside... Having them all without having to get up...Priceless. Think I'm getting a 6slot. ;)

How big of a power supply does it need? I see it's using a tabletop, is it one of Jameco's?

Actually, the PSU came from jameco, but a self-contained table-top model wasn't outputting enough amps to supply the behemoth, so I had to make my own, homebrew version :)

Kennster does make a convincing pictorial argument ...

I've got a 4-slot, personally, but I'd probably go with the 6 if I had it to do over again. You can't really go wrong with either though.

definately go with 6-slot. because the extra 2 slots will save you so much time and headache. You don't have to argue with the wife, fight with the kids or hate your neighbor. I don't, I guess it is just my disfunctional family. However the 6-slot is the glue that keeps us together.:loco: :loco: :loco:

Get a 4-slot. An extra 2 slots isn't worth the behemoth board and massive power consumption.
