I didn't pay much attention to Kid A, Amnesiac or Hail to the Thief.

After the first time I saw/heard the Pyramid Song I felt immediately alienated, though came to enjoy that one in particular.

Apart from that, 2 + 2 = 5, Knives Out & There There i'm at a loss surrounding these three, can you fill me in?

Am I right in thinking Kid A wasnt a "full" production, to say that it's full of proper songs but served more as a filler release without singles & full promotion??

Cheers.

Try before you buy.

Ok Computer is their only album I've really liked in whole.

Anybody have the song "Creep"? Man, I'm not a huge fan of Radiohead or anything, but I love that song.

Kid A is fantastic. It is my favorite Radiohead Album.

Amnesiac was just kind of "meh" after Kid A, with the exception i thought of the Pyramid Song and the first track (forgot the name).

Hail to the Thief isn't a bad album, i like it alright. Perhaps more then Amnesiac.

OK Computer is a great album.

Kid A is okay

Amnesiac is a B Sides album, and Knives out is superb, but the rest is meh.

Hail to the Thief is a steaming turd after you've listened to all their other stuff.

actually, forget Radiohead and instead look into the following:

Blonde Redhead
Elefant
The Walkmen
Pulp

Radiohead is played out. There is so much better brit pop out there.

I thought Kid A was mediocre at first, but after hearing it a few times, it really started to grow on me. I eventually grew to love the album. I guess my favorite thing about it is that each song seems unique, but at the same time they all fit within a general framework, and form a very cohesive album IMO.

I haven't heard all that much Radiohead outside of Kid A, but I'm gonna grab OK Computer the next chance I get.

Radiohead are brilliant but the last three albums were kinda weak.

Hail TTT is anti bush so by definition a good thing - also its the best of the three musically.

In total there are probably 1 - 1.5 good albums across the 3 albums.

Kid A grew on me, but its not a patch on OK computer or the Bends, or even Pablo Honey. Amnesiac was a bit meh. Hail to the thief was better than the previous 2, but they seem to have lost their way slightly.

Kid A was a 'full' album. Amnesiac was essentially filler, the stuff that didn't make it on to Kid A. They were both recorded during the same sessions, so in essence, I guess they could be considered as 1 double album.

'The Bends' and 'OK Computer' are 2 of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time, so any follow up album is going to be difficult. Look what happened to the Beatles after Revolver and Sergeant Pepper's, or Pink Floyd after The Wall. 'The Final Cut' anyone?

Radiohead is a good band who try to do new and experimental things with their music.

Kid A is a very good and very simplistic CD, it may take a few listens to get it to sink in, but for many it will.

Amnesiac is very much like Kid A in fact the songs on this album are from the same recording sessions as Kid A. I would say that this album is a little more complex than the last and take the new sound to a slightly higher level (especially Pyramid Song and Spinning Plates)

Hail to the Thief is ALMOST a mix of Kid A/Amnesiac/and a little OK Computer. It still has a similar sound to their last 2 albums but some is a little more rockin' or just different I guess. I feel the best songs on this album would have to be 2+2=5 and Mixamatosis.

New(er) Radiohead is cool, just harder for most of us "rock" folk to get into right away. I'm sure the whole reason for the new sound is both that they felt they were getting into a rut where they wanted to be a different Radiohead who try more things and experement with different sounds and song styles. Also the current state of rock and I guess popular music in general is so fucking horrible that they probably wanted to go a whole new route all together. Anyways, because of this, even if you didn't like their last few albums, you should respect what they've been doing.

P.S.
No videos or singles were released for Kid A, but it was the #1 selling album for weeks!!! Obviously the change has worked well for them!

......and by the way, my favorite Radiohead album is still OK Computer..
