another newbie question, sorry.......

i recently got a beat up cab that im using for jamma/pcb, and im wondering is there supposed to be a horizontal size setting knob (if such a thing exists) on the monitor?

it has vertical size, vertical hold, horizontal hold, bright, contrast, etc.

and the problem im having is the monitor is displaying the picture too wide, so theres about an inch missing on both left and right sides of the screen

any help greatly appreciated

the horizontal width coil is usually pcb mounted and it requires a set of tv adjustment tools to adjust. dont try doing it with standard allan keys because you stand a good chance of breaking out the ferrite core or worst case electrocuting yourself

Also anything metalic will get stinking hot inside an active inductor, too hot to touch.
