From David Bowie up to The Ark (Swedish band), I just luv this kind of music.

I dig the music style, but also dig thet way they use to put some great meanings into very much transigurated and metaphorical lyrics.

Possibly the very best rock strain IMHO. :buttrock:

(prog rock being a good second one)

Discuss.

I'd say the Ziggy Stardust & spiders from Mars album has elements of prog rock, but I wouldnt call David Bowie a prog rocker, its only a few songs.

Does this mean you like bands like the Sweet too :tickled:

Hah don't worry about me my brain isnt working this morning yet, i read it as prog rock :crying:

You David Bowie was like 2 or 3 years of glam, responsible for a lot of rubbish in the uk charts. I'm not saying its all crap, just there was lot of crap at the time that was more about the look than the music.

I'd avoid the Sweet like the plague, they had a huge hit here called "Blockbuster" which was a music clone of Jean Geanie, its terrible, look it up.
