I am excited about the game. The last boss, the Dragon King looks to be pretty tough. I really like the Konquest mode though, it's cool that they are going to add bonuses with the game. One thing that was stupid is how they took MK 1 off treasures 2, and decide to include it with the release of Deception. Oh well, how many of you are looking forward to MK: Deception this monday?

Well, honestly I'm not really thrilled about it. What little excitement I do have for it is mostly for the arcade perfect version of MK 1 ... and I mostly like it for sentimental reasons. I thought that Deadly Alliance was ok, but it didn't really feel as gritty as MK did back in its 2D days (I'm mostly referring to MK2 & 3). Anyway, I'll probably look to see how it turns out (maybe a rental), but I doubt I'll be pre-ordering it.

I can't wait for it. I'll be getting mine cause I already pre-ordered it. Can't wait to kick ass with my boy Baraka :buttrock: I thought DA was awesome the only 3D fighter I play besides SC and DOA.

Which Collector's case do you guys think is cooler (xbox)? The eb one (Scorpion) or the gamestop one (Baraka)? I'm leaning toward the Baraka one ...

Well it "ships" on monday. Meaning it will be at retail stores on tuesday.
Im looking forward to it. MK for me has never been in the same league as SF or KOF in terms of depth. But the fun factor has always been there. Well at least till three. Then it started getting really bad.
I hope that they get rid of those generic stance/finishing animations from 5. I think every other fighter used the same set of animations when they would win the fight. So Raiden would clasp his hands together and bow, and then scorpian would do the exact same animation when he would win. It makes the developers look lazy and it dousnt give any personality to the characters.

I pre-ordered mine, and honestly, I'm mostly looking forward to the history DVD and (Hopefully) arcade perfect MK1. I enjoyed Deadly Alliance, and I'm sure this one will be fun too.

anyway, whoa, um I'm out of the loop. iI'm guessing this is a fighhting game? I used to be really into the original MK when I was a little kid, but now I see that those games weren't so good. So, no I guess I won't be buying it.

I would be interested in an arcade perfect mk1 though.

MK1 is nice yes. I don't hold out too much hope for the new one except maybe for a couple weeks of eye candy. DA had problems in the gameplay department... there are just too many games out there with preprogrammed chains. None of them are any better for it, and DA didn't have enough substance outside of the chains to help. The new game could resurrect MK if combos were based on a fundamental hit and stun time system and not on chains, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Chains make gameplay too easy to program and the dev team for this game has always been lazy.

Hell ya, I'm looking forward to it. As soon as it's out, I'm picking up my preordered copy of the Xbox Kollector's Edition at the local EBGames. If anybody's playing the Xbox version, I hope to see you on Live... :buttrock:
