~lol cubs

Houston is only 1/2 a game up and if they both win out they would have a 1 game playoff in Chicago . The stros last series is against the Rockies and the Cubs have to play the braves so yeah looks like the baby bears are in bad shape. The only thing left for me to do is root against the TwinsMagician said:Looks like the cubbies will miss the playoffs, what with the astros on a roll and all.
Oh well...

wrong Boston and NY cannot play in the 1st roundbuttasuperb said:That's if they even play.
Twins will be facing either Anaheim or Oakland in the first round.

Two teams in the same division cannot play in the first round . If by some act of god the cubs make it they will play Atlanta not StL.buttasuperb said:Why not?
I thought it was by seeds
Yankees will be 1, either MN or ANA/OAK will be 2/3. and BOS (Wild Card) 4.
1 plays 4, and 2 plays 3.

Really though, the NL wildcard is a total crapshoot right now - the only teams not putting scrubs out for 7 innings a night are the 4 teams still in it.
I flipped a coin and it came up Astros. Yay.
Whatever - Santana locked up his Cy Young, and some team will luck their way to a World Series championship. I'm more interested in the Ichiro watch.

Wildcard team is 4th place no matter what the record is .gmfuss said:I thought they do set it up seed wise, but based on wins, NY would be 1 and Boston would be 2. Even if they are the wildcard
