Not sure how I feel about this... while it's great to know that Super Real Mahjong isn't quite going the way of the dinosaurs yet in the face of competition from Psikyo's G-Taste and Hot Gimmick Mahjong series, Super Real Mahjong without the stripping elements is like Hot Cocoa without the whipcream or Natto without karashi...

Oh well, there's always the definitive Super Real Mahjong Premium Collection on the NGPC.

Oh wow, is that GBA game new? If it is when is it coming out. I still have to pick up that NGPC one.

I have G taste for ps2, it sucks ASS compared to Hot Gimmick for ps2. But both of them completely suck compared to the computer versions :crying:

The 'Super Real Mahjong Dousokai [Reunion]' is coming out on the 4th of November. The Macromedia Flash movie shows 18 members of the Super Real Mahjong girls from P2 through P7, but on the characters page it only shows 15 :( Uncool. Not to mention they evidently axed Toyohara, one of my favorite girl from PVII.

That looks great! Thanks for all the info, I might be picking this up.

Are you into the Usagi series at all? The new one was just released, I skipped it cause famitsu gave it shit reviews.

That's the Sammy mahjong series with manga-like cutscenes right? I'm afraid I don't know much about it, don't think it was in the arcades when I was in Japan last summer... what earned the sequel the low score?

Oh... I can't remember now. I can dig up the issue and take a look. Famitsu generally rates all the mahjong games really low. Mostly because there's no replay value and the graphics are bad.

I bet they'll rip super real mahjong apart when it's released... :(

Super Real Mahjong was by, Seta untile a few years ago. Befor Seta was bought out by Aruze.

My reply was referring to the Usagi mahjong series that RBjakeSpecial brought up, Tron 2.0.

I just pulled out an old ps2 usagi the arcade game. It says its made by Digi Team of Digi Cube. I played it about 20 times and I've read half of the comic it's based on. The story is about a group of highschool kids that play with bad ass mafia dudes. The game play is pretty boring, and the bosses are tough. It's weird cause its a 2 on 2 mahjong match. I prefer one on one, or one on three. Overall I'd say it's average.

The new one looks exactly the same....

incidentally, where can I find other Super Real Mahjong collectables? Been searching hard for the Fan Books but with little luck.

Ooh. There's been some new information on Super Real Mahjong Dousoukai. Evidently pre-orders will come with an artbook. Looks like I'll have to put an order in for this game somehow.
