Anyone looking forward to Tribes Vengeance?

i fell passionately in love with the original Tribes[probably my fav FPS game ever made]... and was sadly disappointed with Tribes 2.. but now that i've seen the screenshots & tried the demo for Tribes Vengeance i'm starting to feel the excitement build up inside me similiar to how the original made me.

and checkout this screenshot; there's actually gonna be levels with bases similiar in design to the 1st Tribes.

i can't wait! what's the official release date?[if there is one yet?]

I've been playing the Multiplayer beta for most of this month and I'm really liking it. It's weird since I really didn't play much of the first two Tribes games. I'm actually in a clan right now that's practicing to play competitively once the game goes retail.

As far as the release date goes, the game just went gold so Sierra is expecting a ship/street date of October 5th.

I haven't touched the beta, but I did download the single player demo. It's interesting so far, but I'll wait until a little while after the official release. It would be nice to play Tribes again, but it just isn't the same experience it was several years ago. It's also nice to see them adding a single player mode, but this game was meant to have online play. I kind of wonder why they bothered.

I used to own Tribes II (PS2) and I didn't find it too bad (although I haven't tried T1). Will Vengeance come out for the consoles?

i noticed that people who started with Tribes back in part 1 didn't really care much for 2, but seem to be showing an interest for 3.. [remembered this pattern with the Hitman games to]

anyway, yeah it probably will come to consoles eventually.

PC all the way for me. FPS is something i just can't seem to play without a keyboard/mouse.

FYI, a new version of the Multiplayer Demo just came out. You can get it from either Fileplanet or directly from Vivendi Universal's website (http://www.vugames.com/file_list.do?gamePlatformId=412).

welp, been playing the MP demo for awhile now.
this is so great! much better then Tribes 2![although Tribes 1 is still my fav].

any of you guys try it out yet?
almost feel like not going to sleep at all and playing all night/day.
