Could we pimp a link to DanAdamKOF's Newbie FAQ on the frontpage?

DanAdamKOF's FAQ is an often overlooked resourse on the site. Lots of people tend to sign up at the second week of each month with a rash of the same question of "will Jap carts play on US systems," or, "will a CD pad work on a homesystem." (Etc.)

I think a big part of the tendency is that the FAQ is a little hard to come across. Especially if someone stumbles onto the forum and hasn't toured through the mainsite. That, and even visiting the FAQ section from the mainsite, the newbie FAQ tends to get passed by in that white, small text at the top of the screen.

So....
Would there be a way we could link it to the front page of the forum?
For being the great resourse it is, it cerntainly could help a lot.

Thanks.

agreed

those knobs or noobs or n00bs or what ever fanciful name we have for "new members" these days to make them sound alike to a male genital and get away with it without arguement are rather annoying to most of the gramaphone playing old men at the site, who knew what a neo geo was before ROMs were emulate able on a home PC........

infact, it should be a manditory read for any new sign ups, and they (being the new members in this case) should take a test before signing on the site if you want my honest opinion...........

30000 "thomas nicole" clones running about = annoying

:D thanks, Kage. It would for sure cut down on the simple questions we get that clutters the forum. It may be a bit outdated (we have a chat room, ubb stuff is still in there, atomiswave, etc) but it will help answer the simple questions.

I'm maybe a bit biased ;) but a frontpage link would be quite teh koll.

Yeah I agree 100%, we need to educate the noobs with ease, so this reduces the twat threads and stupid questions, this need to be infront of every noob everytime they click anything on this website.

Another off topic suggestion is to limit the new accounts posting numbers to say 2 a week for the first 4 months, this would then make sure they post something decent, and maybe they will read more topics while they await the next weeks post limit, too many spam posts in News from the n00bs now days.

Sort it out Doc.
